Commune Cinema returns to House of Vans this March with a free screening of We Out Here, A LDN Story –an Art-House documentary film by Fabrice Bourgelle-’s- spotlighting the music and players of the current London Jazz scene.
The screening will be hosted in our 100-seat cinema space & will be followed by a Q&A & a Jazz-fuelled DJ set curated by Brownswood.
We Out Here isn’t just a film about the renaissance of Jazz in London over the past few years, in as much as it is also about Friendship and Community and the influences of city that these young musicians call home.
It is the journey of a certain group of young gifted players among many, who have trained and come up together, and whose sounds are now becoming an integral part of our musical landscape, as well as representing the sound of London beyond the confines of the city.
Teju Adeleye - Journalist and NTS radio host with a background in social justice, youth arts and media organisations. She was closely involved with the We Out Here project, writing the sleeve notes for the record cover.

The event is free with booking required. A very limited number of walk-in tickets will be available on the day, on a first come, first served basis.
