This September, House of Vans is proud to welcome back Talking Peace Festival & Conflict Café for a two-week residency.  Marking their 30th Anniversary in 2016, the peace-building charity behind revolutionary kitchen concept Conflict Café, International Alert, are once again ready to celebrate the food and culture of countries affected by conflict by introducing them to the ever-growing network of London foodies and showcasing the power of food to bring people together and break down barriers. This year's countries of choice, represented by a stellar line up of guest cooks, will be Sri Lanka & Lebanon. The festival will also bring to Waterloo Tunnels Create Syria - a multimedia exhibition exploring Syrian art in times of crisis, a mini film festival and a photographic retrospective chronicling International Alert's 30 years of peace-building. And it’s all served up in time for UN International Peace Day on the 21st September! Tickets and more information on Conflict Café and Talking Peace Festival's film screenings are available here.
